See me, before you see me.
All the plant gossip, through the grapevine. Pun intended.
Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:Give your Adenium a monthly feed of 19:19:19 NPK fertiliser. Regular and light watering, with proper fertilisation, and full sun will ensure perennial blooms for your garden space.
Repotting : The plant will outgrow its current pot in a year and will need to be repotted every year in a slightly larger pot for excellent growth.
Propagation : Adeniums can be propagated by taking stem cuttings from the top of a branch. Air dry the cutting a day or two in a low light space and plant them in a light and well-draining growing medium and place in bright indirect light.
1. What is the most common problem with Adenium plants?
The most common problem with Adenium plants is leaf rot that typically progresses to the stem and then roots.
2. Why are my Adenium leaves turning brown?
Browning of leaves for an adenium is a direct indication of underwatering. Water your adenium thoroughly when the top two to three inches of the soil dry out.
3. How often should I water my Adenium plant?
The frequency depends on how much light your plant is getting and how quickly the soil dries put. But if you have kept your plant in 4-5 hours of direct sun, water it once a week. Water thoroughly till it drains out of the drainage hole, empty the base plate.
Light Requirements :Adenium or desert rose is a drought resistant plant that needs full sun and little water, so a sunny corner, outdoor garden, or a windowsill is a good place for adenium to thrive.
Locations :South or west facing areas of your home that receive bright direct sunlight for most of the day is an excellent place for your adenium.
Styling/decor tip :Plant your adenium in a pot that is wider than it is deep to train your plant caudex to become more bulbous and stronger and lend a structural look to your plant. Its bulbous woody stem is a handsome contrast to its delicate white flowers. Place it either as a centre piece to add some drama to your home or in a plant cluster to add colour and form. It will look exceptionally striking in pot of contrasting colour.

Parts of the Adenium plant are poisonous to humans and pets.
Many lovers of Adenium grow their plants or look to repotting desert rose into terra cotta clay pots instead of plastic to keep them on the dry side.
The Adenium is also known as the Desert rose or the Japanese frangipani.
