Description For Pashanbhed
Pashan bheda or Coleus Barbatus belongs to the Family Lamiaceae. The plant is a large, succulent, densely hairy, herb with aromatic roots. Its Ayurvedic name is Gandhmoolika, while in Hindi it is known as Patharchur. The root of this plant is considered analgesic, ophthalmic, and febrifuge. It is instrumental in epilepsy, kidney stone and calculus. Patharchur roots are fresh aromatic, which is why they are offered in temples for their characteristic odour and are also used as a flavouring agent.
