With twisting dark green foliage with bold lime green margins the sansevieria tornado is incredibly alluring! Each glossy leaf is curled and twisted clockwise to create a stunning whirlpool effect, thus the name. As a young plant, it has a low rounded shape that sits nicely on a worktop or coffee table. As it grows, it gradually extends upwards to form an upright central stem, making a fine floor-standing specimen. Also known as the Dragon Tree, it is undemanding and easy to grow with relatively slow growth.

All the plant gossip, through the grapevine. Pun intended

Plants growing in containers need more fertilizing than those in the ground. The more you water, the more quickly you flush the nutrients out of the soil.

Plant Essentials

Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:Feed your Snake Plant a balanced houseplant fertiliser monthly from late spring right until fall. Do not fertilise your plant in winters.
Repotting : You will need to repot your snake plant every 2 to 3 years as your plant starts getting taller and bigger.
Propogation : The easiest way to propagate is by dividing your snake plant. Use a sharp knife to cut the main plant in half at the main rhizome through the root and replant these halves. You can also propagate this plant by leaf-cutting.
