Pot Size: Use smaller pots to root-bound your Aralia Plants. In smaller pots soil dries out faster and prevents over- watering. Unlike other houseplants, in the case of Aralia Golden, a big plant can be grown in a small pot.
Potting/Transplanting: The pot selected must have proper drainage holes. To prevent water logging, cover the drainage holes with broken pieces of earthen pots or brick pieces before putting the soil. Transplant the Aralia sapling in a pot along with root-ball of original soil. Carefully place the plant in the middle of the pot & cover the roots completely with remaining soil.
Repotting: Aralia Golden should be re-potted every year; especially when the plant has grown too big, has an extra root bound, and is oversized as compared to the old pot.
Sunlight: Aralia Golden Plants need full shade to filtered sun. Protecting them from the sun is necessary.
Water: Too much water causes root rot and results in Aralia Plant to die. Before watering allow the top 50% of the soil to dry out. In low light conditions water Aralia Golden once a week especially during winters & twice a week during summer.
Fertiliser: Feed Aralia Plant with very little fertiliser. When it’s actively growing, supply it with a plant food high in nitrogen and at 1/2 the recommended strength.
