    About The Product

Ever sown seeds that sprouted beautifully and then just... stopped? Or repotted a plant only to find the soil turning soggy a few weeks later? Ordinary peat moss is often the culprit. It's very acidic, has no nutrients and breaks down into mush that suffocates roots.

Ugaoo Premium Baltic Peat Moss fixes all of that. It's sourced from the wetlands of Varena, Lithuania, and comes pre-buffered to a plant-friendly pH of 5.5 to 6.5, so it's ready to use straight from the bag. It's enriched with an NPK starter charge to help seeds germinate and roots get growing. Its GT2 medium structure stays light and airy while holding just the right amount of moisture.

With 85 to 95% organic matter and zero sand, weeds or fillers, it's perfect for seed starting, Monsteras, Aroids, Ferns and other moisture-loving plants. Pick the 1 kg pack for seed trays and small pots, or the 5 kg pack for garden beds and big potting batches.

    How to use ?

    • For seed sowing: Fill your seedling tray with peat moss straight from the bag. No mixing needed. Sow your seeds, mist gently and keep the mix lightly moist.
    • For indoor tropical plants: Mix 1 part peat moss with 2 parts regular potting soil and use it when potting or repotting Monsteras, Aroids, Ferns, Pothos and other moisture-loving plants.
    • For garden beds: Mix peat moss into the topsoil to help condition heavy clay or sandy soil.
    • Not for: Succulents and cacti, as they prefer dry, fast-draining soil.

    How often to use?

Use it whenever you're sowing seeds, potting a new plant or repotting an existing one.
For garden beds, mix it in while preparing the soil for a new planting season.

    FAQs

What is Baltic peat moss and why is it better?

Baltic peat moss comes from the peat bogs of the Baltic region and is known worldwide for its quality. Ugaoo's is sourced from Varena, Lithuania, with 85 to 95% organic matter, and is pH-balanced and enriched with starter nutrients, so it's ready to use.

Can I use peat moss directly for seed starting?

Yes! Fill your seedling tray with Ugaoo Peat Moss straight from the bag. It's light, airy and has built-in starter nutrition, so no mixing is needed.

How do I mix peat moss for indoor plants like Monstera?

Mix 1 part peat moss with 2 parts regular potting soil. This creates a light, moisture-retaining mix that Monsteras, Aroids and Ferns love.

Is peat moss the same as cocopeat?

No. Cocopeat is made from coconut husk, while peat moss is formed naturally in peat bogs over many years.

Should I buy the 1 kg or 5 kg pack?

Go for 1 kg if you're starting seeds or potting 3 to 4 small indoor plants. Choose 5 kg for garden beds, large planters or bigger potting mix batches.
