Germination

Growing

Needs direct sun to partial shade, at least 5–6 hours daily.
Water regularly, keeping soil consistently moist. Avoid waterlogging. Soil should be well-draining.
Space bulbs 20–25 cm apart, rows 25–30 cm apart.
Feed with Ugaoo's cow manure every 20–25 days. Use Ugaoo's neem cake and Ugaoo's neem oil spray to keep pests away.
Add light support as the flower stalk grows tall and can bend under the weight of blooms.

Aftercare & Post-Harvest

Don't cut back the plant right after flowering. Let leaves die back naturally; they feed the bulb for next year's blooms.
Once leaves yellow and wither completely, trim them back at the base.
The bulb stays in the soil and goes dormant over winter. No need to dig it up each year.

Harvesting

Flowers bloom in 4–5 months after planting, typically in summer season.
Cut flowers in the cool morning hours for the best vase life. Snip just above a leaf node, leaving as many leaves on the plant as possible.
Remove dried flowers regularly. This keeps the plant looking tidy and directs energy back to the bulb.
A healthy plant can keep flowering for 3–4 weeks once blooming begins.
