    Cosmos Mix is a light, airy flowering plant. It's known for its delicate, daisy-like blooms. An easy, fuss-free way to add movement and colour to Indian gardens.

    • Produces delicate, daisy-like blooms in pink, red, white, and magenta
    • One of the easiest and fastest-flowering annuals, great for beginners
    • Great for borders, pots, garden beds, and cut flower arrangements
    • Grow it organically in Ugaoo's Potting Mix, chemical-free blooms all season long
    Sowing
    • Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep in a seedling tray. Use Ugaoo's Pot-o-Mix for better results.
    • Best time to sow: February to March
    • During this time, keep it indoors in low light and maintain good humidity.
    Germination
    • Seeds sprout in 8–14 days.
    • Keep soil moist during this period.
    • Once sprouts appear, move to a bright spot with direct sun.
    Transplanting
    • Seedlings are ready to transplant once they have 3–4 true leaves, usually after 25–30 days.
    • Transplant into a pot or garden bed (at least 20-25 cm deep) in well-draining soil.
    • Do it in the evening or on a cloudy day to reduce transplant shock.
    • Water well immediately after transplanting and keep in partial shade for 2–3 days before moving to full sun.
    Growing
    • Needs direct sun, at least 5–6 hours daily; cool temperatures help it thrive.
    • Water regularly at the base, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged. Avoid wetting the leaves to prevent fungal issues.
    • Use a pot with drainage holes.
    • Space plants 20–25 cm apart, rows 25–30 cm apart.
    • Feed with Ugaoo's cow manure every 20–25 days. Use Ugaoo's neem cake and neem oil spray to keep pests away.
    Aftercare & Post-Harvest
    • Don't let dried flowers sit too long on the plant. Remove promptly to redirect energy into new blooms.
    • Reduced flowering and weaker stems signal the plant is nearing the end of its cycle.
    • Rising temperatures from March onwards can stress the plant and end its flowering period.
    • Once flowering slows down significantly, pull the plant out and sow fresh for the next cool season.
    Harvesting
    • Flowers are ready for harvest/blooming in 45-60 days
    • Cut flowers in the cool morning hours for the best vase life, snipping just above a leaf node.
    • Remove dried old blooms regularly; this encourages the plant to keep producing new flowers.
    • A healthy plant can keep flowering for 4–6 weeks once blooming begins.
