Marigold African Double Seeds

• Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep in a seedling tray. Use Ugaoo's Potting Mix (or Pot-o-Mix) for better results.
• Best time to sow: July to August.
• During this time, keep it indoors in low light and maintain good humidity.

• Seeds sprout in 4–7 days.
• Keep the soil moist during this period.
• Once sprouts appear, move to a bright spot with direct sun.

• Seedlings are ready to transplant once they have 2–3 true leaves, usually after 15–20 days.
• Transplant into a pot or garden bed (at least 10–12 inches deep, given its taller growth) with well draining soil mix.
• Transplant in the evening or on a cloudy day to reduce transplant shock.
• Water well immediately after transplanting and keep in partial shade for 1–2 days before moving to full sun.

• Needs direct sun, at least 6 hours daily.
• Water regularly at the base, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged. Avoid wetting the leaves to prevent fungal issues.
• Use a pot with drainage holes.
• Space plants 30–40 cm apart, rows 40–45 cm apart.
• Feed with Ugaoo's cow manure every 15 days. Use Ugaoo's neem cake and neem oil spray to keep pests away.
• Provide light staking if needed, as taller stems can bend under the weight of large blooms.

Pinch off the growing tip early on to encourage bushier growth and more blooms.

• Reduced flowering and weaker stems signal the plant is nearing the end of its cycle.
• Extreme heat or heavy rain can stress the plant and shorten its flowering period.
• Once flowering slows down significantly, pull the plant out and sow fresh for the next season.

• Flowers are ready for harvest/blooming in 55–70 days.
• Cut flowers in the cool morning hours for the best vase life, snipping just above a leaf node.
• Remove dried flowers regularly; this encourages the plant to keep producing new flowers.
• A healthy plant can keep flowering continuously for 2–3 months.
