The Strelitzia nicolai, more famous as the Bird of Paradise plant, is given its name due to its wild blue-orange flowers that closely resemble its namesake bird.
A close relative of the Banana family, it is an easier and more tolerant tropical plant to grow at home.
This stunning plant does beautifully in bright, indirect light and rewards you with its graceful arching leaves, making for a beautiful housemate.
While the plant does not flower indoors, its captivating foliage is more than enough to make up for it, giving the plant the center stage no matter where you put it!

Water once a week
