Product Details

Chrysanthemum Mix is a hardy, festive flowering plant. It's loved in Indian gardens for its abundant blooms and long flowering season.

Produces bright, cheerful blooms in yellow, white, pink, orange, and bronze

Sowing

Sow seeds 0.25–0.5 cm deep in a seedling tray. Use Ugaoo's Potting Mix (or Pot-o-Mix) for better results.
Best time to sow: June to August, before winter.
During this time, keep it indoors in low light and maintain good humidity.

Germination

Seeds sprout in 6–10 days.
Keep soil moist during this period.
Once sprouts appear, move to a bright spot with direct sun.

Transplanting

Seedlings are ready to transplant once they have 3–4 true leaves, usually after 20–25 days.
Transplant into a pot or garden bed (at least 20 cm deep) with well draining soil mix.
Transplant in the evening or on a cloudy day to reduce transplant shock.
Water well immediately after transplanting and keep in partial shade for 2–3 days before moving to full sun.

Growing

Needs direct sun, at least 5–6 hours daily.
Water regularly at the base, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged. Avoid wetting the leaves to prevent fungal issues.
Use a pot with drainage holes.
Space plants 25–30 cm apart, rows 30–35 cm apart.
Feed with Ugaoo's cow manure every 25 days. Use Ugaoo's neem cake and neem oil spray to keep pests away.
Pinch off the growing tip early on to encourage bushier growth and more flowers.

Aftercare & Post-Harvest

Reduced flowering and weaker stems signal the plant is nearing the end of its cycle.
Extreme heat or heavy rain can stress the plant and shorten its flowering period.
Once flowering slows down significantly, pull the plant out and sow fresh for the next season.

Harvesting

Flowers are ready for harvest/blooming in 90–110 days.
Cut flowers in the cool morning hours for the best vase life, snipping just above a leaf node.
Remove dried flowers regularly; this encourages the plant to keep producing new flowers.
A healthy plant can keep flowering for 6–8 weeks once it begins blooming.

Goods seeds, my plants have started flowering

I purchased seeds from ugaoo in October, they have grown very well and also have started flowering... Happy to see that.. But the variety of flower seed which I received is "chrysanthemum carinatum" And not the one which is shown by ugaoo. But these are also so beautiful to see , Want to share it's picture but there is no option to post the picture from our side.

All the seeds germinated very well and were growing healthy although I planted them in November. I was going to attach a pic too but they all died soon due to root rot I think. I'll try to grow them again next year a bit early and update my review with a photo if it's possible.
