Product Details
Broccoli is a cool-season vegetable. It's packed with nutrition and a great addition to Indian home gardens. Rewarding to grow and easy to care for once established.
- Rich in fibre, vitamin C, vitamin K, and antioxidants
- One of the best ways to add a superfood to your daily diet
- Toss it into stir-fries, soups, salads, or steam it as a simple side
- Grow healthy, chemical-free broccoli all season long with Ugaoo's Organic Veggie Mix Soil.
Approx. seeds per gram: 120
Sowing
- Sow seeds 0.5–1 cm deep in a seedling tray. Use Ugaoo's Organic Veggie Mix for better results.
- Best time to sow: September to October, ahead of winter.
- During this time, keep it indoors in low light and maintain good humidity.
Germination
- Seeds sprout in 7–10 days.
- Keep soil moist during this period.
- Once sprouts appear, move to a bright spot with direct sun.
Transplanting
- Seedlings are ready to transplant once they have 4–5 true leaves, usually after 25–30 days.
- Transplant into a larger pot (at least 30 cm deep) or grow bag with well draining soil mix.
- Do it in the evening or on a cloudy day to reduce transplant shock.
- Water well immediately after transplanting and keep in partial shade for 2–3 days before moving to full sun.
Growing
- Needs direct sun, at least 5–6 hours daily.
- Water regularly to keep soil consistently moist, but avoid waterlogging. Soil should be well-draining.
- Use a pot with drainage holes.
- Space plants 40–45 cm apart, rows 45–60 cm apart.
- Feed with Ugaoo's cow manure every 25 days. Use Ugaoo's neem cake and neem oil spray to keep pests away.
Aftercare & Post-Harvest
- Don't let the head sit too long on the plant. It turns yellow and starts to flower if left uncut.
- If small yellow flowers appear on the head, the plant is bolting. Harvest immediately.
- Warmer temperatures from March onwards trigger bolting.
- Once the plant stops producing side shoots, pull it out and sow fresh next cool season.
Harvesting
- Main head is ready for harvest in 60–90 days, when it's firm, tight, and deep green.
- Harvest before the buds start to yellow or flower.
- Cut the main head with 5–6 cm of stem attached, using a sharp knife.
- After the main head is cut, smaller side shoots often continue to grow, harvest these over the following weeks.

Customers praised the seeds for their excellent germination rates, with reports of "80% germination" and "99% seeds germinated." Most shoppers were satisfied with quality and results. However, one customer noted inconsistency, reporting that second-year yields were disappointing with "small and spindly" heads, despite good initial experiences.
Healthy seeds and happy germination.. Already repotted, waiting for my broccoli to grow from it..

Very good germination rrate thank you ugaao
Germination rate is good
I have bought seeds from Ugaoo for 3 years, the first year, got superb results, good germination, and quality vegetables. The second year, however, was not satisfactory, the Broccoli I got was marked as hybrid but the yield was so low, the heads formed were small and spindly. I followed the same procedure and application of fertilizers for both years. Hoping, this year the quality of produce is as good as first year.
Real good
99% seeds germinated
Thanks @Ugaoo.com
