FAQs
Can you grow capsicum indoors?
Absolutely! Capsicum (bell peppers) thrive indoors with good care. Just give them a sunny windowsill or proper grow lights, a deep pot with a well-draining medium like Ugaoo's Pot-O-Mix, and regular watering. They love warmth, so keep them cozy. With patience and a little love, you'll have homegrown, crunchy capsicums in your kitchen garden!
Can I grow Capsicum from their seeds?
Indeed! You can grow capsicum from their seeds—plant them in moist, well-draining soil. You can either start them indoors in seedling trays or outdoors in the ground directly. Just pick a warm, sunny spot, and your capsicum seeds will germinate within 14-18 days. With good care, you'll soon have your own fresh, homegrown capsicums!
How many months does it take to grow Capsicum?
Capsicum plants take around 55-60 days to go from seed to harvest-ready peppers. They start sprouting in 14-18 days, grow steadily, and begin flowering in 2 months. With good care and lots of love—sunlight, water, and regular feeding—you’ll have vibrant, crunchy capsicums ready to pick in no time!
Can Capsicum grow in winter?
They can, but they need a little extra warmth! Capsicum plants prefer temperatures above 15°C, so if it’s chilly, grow them indoors near a sunny window or under grow lights. In mild winters, they’ll survive outdoors with some protection. Keep them cozy, and they’ll reward you with crunchy, green peppers!
Can Capsicum grow without sunlight?
Not really! Capsicum plants love sunlight and need at least 6-8 hours of bright light daily to thrive. If natural sunlight is scarce, grow lights can do the trick indoors. Without enough light, they’ll grow weak and won’t produce those crunchy, colorful peppers. So, give them their daily dose of sunshine!
You guys make home gardening so easy
Quality of seeds is very good as they germinate very quickly. however the watering and type of fertilizer requirement may be included with the product to add value to the purchase. Overall, wonderful experience
I have ordered for Green Chilli Seeds, Spinach Seeds, Corriander Seeds along with capsicum seeds. To my surprise all have germinated well.
Only difference was the capsicum turned out to be red, actually I ordered for green one. But we were happy as it was organic.
