    Product Details

Yellow Cherry Tomatoes are sweeter and milder than their red cousins and absolutely beautiful on the vine. One plant can keep you in fresh tomatoes for months with very little effort.

    • Sweet, mild yellow cherry tomatoes with lower acidity; great for snacking straight off the vine.
    • Rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, and lycopene.
    • Prolific fruiter; one healthy plant can produce hundreds of fruits.
    • Grow it organically in Ugaoo's Veggie Mix Soil, chemical-free cherry tomatoes all season long.
    Sowing
    • Sow seeds 0.5–1 cm deep in a seedling tray. We recommend Ugaoo's Organic Veggie Mix for better results.
    • Best time to sow: February to March, or June to July.
    • During this time, keep it in a warm spot and maintain good humidity. Cover the lid, soil or top if needed.
    Germination
    • Seeds sprout in 7–10 days.
    • Keep soil moist during this period.
    • Once sprouts appear, move to a bright spot with direct sun.
    Transplanting
    • Seedlings are ready to transplant once they have 3–4 true leaves, usually after 20–25 days.
    • We suggest transplanting into a larger pot or grow bag (at least 30 cm deep) with Ugaoo's Organic Veggie Mix.
    • Transplant in the evening or on a cloudy day.
    • Water well after transplanting and keep in partial shade for 2–3 days before moving to full sun.
    • Provide a stake or we suggest Ugaoo's Hardwood Support Sticks at the time of transplanting.
    Growing
    • Needs direct sun, at least 6–8 hours daily.
    • Water regularly to keep soil consistently moist. Avoid waterlogging. Soil should be well-draining.
    • Use a pot with drainage holes.
    • Space plants 45–60 cm apart.
    • Feed with cow manure every 15–20 days. Use neem cake and neem oil spray to keep pests away.
    • Tie the main stem to the stake as it grows, and pinch off side shoots for better fruiting.
    Aftercare & Post-Harvest
    • Don't let ripe fruits sit too long on the plant. They split or attract pests.
    • Reduced flowering and smaller fruit size signal the plant is nearing the end of its cycle.
    • Extreme heat from May onwards can stress the plant and reduce fruiting.
    • Once the plant stops producing well, pull it out and sow fresh next season.
    Harvesting
    • Fruits are ready in 60–75 days from transplanting.
    • Harvest when fruits turn fully yellow and come off easily with a gentle twist.
    • Pick regularly - the more you harvest, the more the plant keeps fruiting.
    • A healthy plant can keep producing for several months.
