FAQs
Is Morning glory easy to grow from seed?
Yes! Morning Glory seeds are super easy to grow! Just soak them overnight to speed up germination, then plant them in warm, well-draining soil like Ugaoo's Pot-O-Mix, with full sunlight. In just 12-17 days, your seeds will sprout, and you will be able to witness stunning trumpet-shaped blooms within just 100-150 days!
What are Morning glory seeds good for?
Morning Glory seeds are mainly used for growing beautiful, fast-climbing vines that add charm to gardens, balconies, and trellises. They attract pollinators like butterflies and bees, making your garden more vibrant! However, some varieties contain compounds that can be toxic if ingested, so they are best enjoyed for their ornamental beauty rather than for consumption.
Can we grow Morning glory in rainy season?
Yes, Morning Glory seeds can be grown in the rainy season, but with some extra care! These seeds and their plants love warmth and humidity but dislike waterlogged soil. Ensure well-draining soil and plant in a spot with good sunlight. Too much rain can slow germination or cause rot, so if it's excessively wet, consider growing them in pots or raised beds instead.
Is there another name for Morning glory?
Indeed! Morning Glory is also known by other names like "Bindweed," "Ipomoea," and "Convolvulus." In India, it’s sometimes called "Vishnukranti" (for certain varieties). With its vibrant, trumpet-shaped blooms and fast-growing vines, this beauty is a garden favorite worldwide, brightening up spaces from dawn till noon!
Can Morning glory grow in pots?
Absolutely! Morning Glory thrives in pots and containers! Just choose a deep pot and planters (at least 12 inches), sow in well-draining soil like Ugaoo's Pot-O-Mix, and place it in full sunlight. Add a trellis or support, and watch it climb beautifully! Water moderately, keep it humid with a water sprayer, and soon, you'll have a stunning cascade of colorful blooms brightening up your balcony or patio.
