Nasturtium Mix Seeds

• Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep directly in the pot or bed. Nasturtium grows best with direct sowing.
• Soak seeds in water for 12 hours before sowing to speed up germination.
• We suggest regular well-draining soil - skip heavily fertilised mixes. Nasturtium actually blooms better in lean conditions.
• Best time to sow: December to March, the cool and mild months.
• Keep soil moist after sowing.

• Seeds sprout in 7–10 days.
• Keep soil moist during this period.
• Once sprouts appear, move to a spot with 4–6 hours of sunlight.

NA - Nasturtium dislikes transplanting. Always sow directly where it is to grow.

• Needs 4–6 hours of sunlight daily. A little shade is fine, especially as it warms up.
• Water when the topsoil feels dry. Don't overwater.
• Use a pot with drainage holes.
• Space plants 25–30 cm apart.
• Don't overfeed - nasturtium produces more flowers in lean soil. Skip or reduce fertiliser.
• Plant it near your vegetables - it acts as a trap crop that pulls aphids away from your other plants.

• Nasturtium is an annual. Once temperatures rise, the plant declines.
• Allow some flowers to set seed - pods form and dry on the plant naturally.
• Collect dried seeds for next season.
• Sow fresh seeds again from December the following year.

• Flowers bloom in 40–60 days.
• Pick flowers and leaves regularly - the more you harvest, the more the plant produces.
• Harvest flowers in the morning for the freshest flavour.
• Both flowers and leaves can be used fresh in salads, sandwiches, and as garnishes.
