    FAQs

Which month to sow Portulaca seeds in India?

In India, the best time to sow Portulaca seeds is from February to April, just before summer kicks in. These sun-loving beauties thrive in the heat and bloom beautifully! Start them in a well-draining medium like Coco Peat, give them loads of sunlight, and they’ll sprout within just 1-2 weeks! Once the sprouted seeds grow at least 2 true leaves, transplant them into a well-draining medium and watch them thrive!

What is the best potting mix for Portulaca?

The best potting mix for Portulaca seeds is Ugaoo’s Pot-O-Mix! This magical blend of 11 essential ingredients like coco peat, perlite, cow manure, and more gives Portulaca the perfect combo of aeration, drainage, and breathability. Every day becomes like a spa day for your plants—hello happy roots and nonstop summer blooms!

How long does it take for Portulaca seeds to germinate in India?

In India’s warm and sunny climate, Portulaca seeds usually germinate in just 7–14 days. Give them well-draining soil, plenty of sunlight, and a gentle misting to keep the top layer moist. Before you know it, those tiny green sprouts will be ready to burst into vibrant, happy blooms!

    Is Portulaca an indoor plant?

Portulaca is more of a sun-chaser than a shade-lover! It thrives best outdoors where it can soak up 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. While you can grow it indoors, it needs a super sunny windowsill to stay happy. Think of it as a full-sun flower that brings the brightest vibes to balconies and gardens!

Why is my Portulaca not blooming?

If your Portulaca isn’t blooming, it’s probably a silent cry for a little more sunshine! These sun-loving plants need at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily to flower happily. Other culprits? Overwatering, poor drainage, or overly rich soil. Switch to a well-draining mix like Ugaoo’s Pot-O-Mix, cut back on water, and let the sunshine work its magic!
