    About The Product

Thyme is one of the most important herbs in European cooking and has similar properties and replicable taste to Indian Ajwain. As with most western spices and herbs, Thyme is difficult to come by in many cities and towns, making it a matter of availability and convenience to add Thyme to your kitchen garden. It goes very well with soups and also as a part of condiments for several dishes.

    FAQs

Is Thyme easy to grow from seed?

Yes, thyme is fairly easy to grow from seed! Start by sowing the tiny Thyme seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost, as they need light to germinate. Keep them warm, moist, and in a sunny spot. Transplant to your garden once the weather warms up. With some patience and a lot of love, you’ll have fresh, aromatic thyme all season long!

How to grow Thyme at home?

Growing thyme at home is a breeze! Start by planting seeds in well-drained soil with plenty of sunlight (6+ hours a day). Water sparingly — thyme likes it dry! Ensure good air circulation, and trim it regularly to keep it bushy. Grow it in pots or garden beds, and soon you’ll have fresh thyme for your dishes!

How fast do Thyme seeds grow?

Thyme seeds take their time, typically germinating in 6-8 days under the right conditions. Once sprouted, they grow slowly but steadily, maturing in about 60-70 days. Patience is key, but once established, thyme thrives and will keep growing for years, providing you with fresh, fragrant leaves for your culinary adventures!

    How to sow Thyme seeds?

Sowing thyme seeds is simple! Start by sprinkling them on the surface of well-draining soil, as they need light to germinate. Gently press them down, but don’t bury them. Keep the soil moist and place them in a warm spot with indirect sunlight. Once they sprout, thin out the seedlings and enjoy fresh thyme in no time!

What kind of fertilizer for Thyme?

Thyme loves light feeding! Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer like Ugaoo’s Organic Neem Cake or Vermicompost. These natural options improve soil health without overwhelming your thyme. Apply sparingly — too much fertilizer can reduce thyme's flavor and fragrance. Just a little boost, and your thyme will thrive beautifully!
