FAQs
What is the best soil for holy basil?
Holy basil (Tulsi) loves well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. The best match? A mix of garden soil, compost, and sand or cocopeat — like Ugaoo’s Pot-O-Mix! It keeps roots happy, airy, and moist without being soggy. Add a touch of organic fertilizer, and your holy basil will grow lush, fragrant, and full of good vibes!
How long does holy basil take to grow?
Holy basil (Tulsi) grows pretty fast! Seeds usually germinate in 7–12 days, and the plant is ready for its first harvest in just 70-75 days. With sunlight, regular watering, and a little love, your Tulsi will thrive — bringing you divine aroma, flavor, and wellness in no time!
How long do tulsi seeds take to germinate?
Tulsi seeds usually germinate in 7–12 days when kept warm, moist, and in partial sunlight. They may be tiny, but they’re mighty quick when happy! Just sprinkle them on well-draining soil, mist gently, and watch the magic begin. Patience + sunshine = your very own holy basil jungle!
Why are my basil seeds not growing?
If your basil seeds aren’t growing, they might be missing their comfort zone! Common culprits: low temperatures, soggy soil, planting too deep, or not enough light. Basil seeds need warmth, moisture (not waterlogging!), and surface sowing to sprout. Fix these, and your basil babies will be back on track!
Does holy basil need sunlight?
Yes, holy basil (Tulsi) is a total sun-lover! It thrives best with 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Place it on a sunny windowsill or balcony, and watch it grow lush, aromatic, and full of life. Without enough sun, Tulsi gets leggy and loses its punch. So, let the sunshine in!
I don’t know but the plant does not look like holy tulsi for Pooja it appears to be wild tulsi which has bigger leaves than usual even huge for basil
I ordered Tusali seeds, and not a single one sprouted. Total waste of money and time. After it fails, they’ll just tell you to change soil or make excuses. Very disappointed — don’t buy!
